Audman: Future Retro Cassette Attachment

Audman, an iPhone 4/4S and Fourth Generation iPod Touch attachment, wants to take the iPhone back in time to the days of the Walkman. Dean Ekkaia and Sean Solberg of Audman.co are looking to re-introduce the fun of cassette players and boomboxes in the form of a stylish, new iPhone accessory.

The idea for the hardware came about when the duo decided to develop an accessory that would celebrate the iPhone’s audio roots. Something they say has been missing from many iPhone accessory design elements.

The Audman iPhone attachment features:

• The world's smallest speaker dock with dual speakers
• A high-capacity rechargeable battery for charging the iPhone 
• Two headphone jacks for sharing a listen with a friend
• Analog style buttons and volume controls that interact directly with the iPhone's music library, and other services such as Pandora
• A sturdy belt clip for wearing in true Walkman style
• A handy kickstand for watching music videos
• An integrated music app that allows users to create mixtapes and make their iPhone look like a cassette through the Audman's window
• High-strength ABS plastic for protection
• The ability to make and receive phone calls
